The Stones Were Once Alive

I believe that the stones were once alive,
but they had lost their hearts at sea. Now,
they stand like warriors on their Citadel of
Crystal Suns, against Blades of Waves.

Last month, my dad, brother, and I visited the northernmost isles of the Philippines in the province of Batanes. It was there that I found solitude scintillating with the foaming waves and the stones that whisper old tales through the voices of the wind. Perhaps, the most beautiful place I've been to, yet... La lala lala lala lala...

Weeell, this is it for now (Tinamad? Haha). I will post a more extensive record of this journey soon. :)

The words above the photos were inspired by the stones which I believe were once like people. But as time passed, and as the Ivatan's culture flourished, they became guardians of the sea and served as shelter for people and a refuge for light. I dunno. They felt so alive to me, especially the big rocks, with beating hearts that resonate forgotten voices. ~*
